Art can be very beneficial in terms of therapeutic results. Admiring fine art and creating your own (even if you’re not very good) are great therapy treatments. They allow your mind to become free and whole. Our pets can be a source of inspiration when it comes to creating art.
PTSD Therapy
Dogs have an amazing ability to read our feelings. They help us soothe through bonding and overall love. This bonding experience can be vital for our American soldiers. It happens when they return home after duty. War is undoubtedly traumatic in nature. Bonding with a dog helps increase levels of a hormone called Oxytocin. This hormone improves trust. It also improves the ability to interpret facial expressions. It also helps people overcome paranoia, and has other pro-social effects.
